我上次去中国已经是一年半以前了。

所以我非常想念我的中国同事和朋友。
这是我第三次在一带一路生态农业与食品安全论坛上发言。两年前,我前往了上海的世界进口博览会,那是一段非常难忘的经历。
去年,我在德国为论坛远程致辞,我多么希望今年不再如此。但是今年依然不能进行长途旅行,所以目前仍然做不到亲临现场参会, 我们只能等待之后的再次见面。在上一届论坛上,我们谈到了可追溯系统的重要性,而就在最近几天,我们食品进出口检验和认证系统法典委员会,也探讨了在该领域新开展的工作议题。
今年的论坛在中华人民共和国国务院食品安全委员会办公室主办的全国食品安全宣传周期间举办,这将会是一场激动人心的会议,论坛主题与食品安全周高度相关:食品安全助力高质量发展和乡村振兴。
It must be exciting for you that this year the Forum is held during the China Food Safety Publicity Week hosted by the Food Safety Office of the State Council. Your forum theme is extremely relevant: Food safety and High Quality Boost Rural Vitalization.
这也十分契合国际食品法典委员会和世界粮农组织的工作主题,我们已在 6 月 7 日庆祝了第三个世界食品安全日,主题是:保障食品安全,构筑健康未来。我们的整体理念,就如背景屏上显示的一样,仍然是:食品安全,人人有责。
This all fits very well with the work of Codex and FAO. We are celebrating 3rd World Food Safety Day on 7 June with the theme: Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow and our overall moto remains: Food safety is everyone’s business.

2021 is the year of the UN World Food Systems Summit. An important event as we know that food systems must be transformed to ensure that all of us and our descendants for generations to come will have safe, good food. Whenever we are transforming systems, however, we must make sure that the food they produce remains safe.
粮农组织大会将很快采用新的战略框架和战略叙述,向着更高效、包容、有弹性和可持续的农业食品系统转型,以实现更好的粮食生产、更好的营养、更好的环境和更美好的生活,不遗漏任何一个人。
The FAO Conference will soon adopt its new strategic framework and the strategic narrative guiding the Framework is the transformation to MORE efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agri-food systems for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind.

All people working in the Codex Secretariat and FAO are grateful for his leadership reforming and renewing FAO in just two years and steering us safely during the pandemic making sure that the health of our employees came first while fully delivering on our work programme through digital innovation.
